What's in the Kit?

If you could supply every general education classroom with an AT Toolkit, what would you want included (software, hardware, low tech or high tech)? We are trying to come up with a list of the most relevant assistive technology materials to support students with disabilities, students with different learning styles, and with an eye for universal design for learning. What are your suggestions?

Oh,my where do I start my wish list. First things that come to mind for low tech include highlighters, highlighter tape, post it flags. Also diffent paper types including colors, weighted paper, raised line, different size graph paper. Marker boards and magnetic boards along with magnetic letters, ink jet magnetic paper. How about various types of stamp kits for math and writing as well as pictures. Also all computers should have a screen reader. Teachers should also have access to programs such as Boardmaker. Also a classroom digital camera. I could go on but what do other people think??

So....what's the benefit of this resource to us?

I really like having something like DraftBuilder available for reluctant writers.

Love these suggestions! I look forward to sharing them with secondary teachers.
